Kunafeh (Qmeh Qadhi)

Ingredients:

- 1 cup of kunafeh dough

- 1 cup of white cheese (or shredded cheese)

- 1/2 cup of sugar

- 1/4 cup of water

- 1 tablespoon of melted butter

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)


*Instructions:*


1. *Prepare the kunafeh:* Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spread the kunafeh dough in a baking dish.

2. *Prepare the cheese:* Heat the white cheese in a saucepan until it's soft. Add the sugar, water, melted butter, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Mix the ingredients well.

3. *Assemble the kunafeh:* Spread the cheese mixture over the kunafeh dough. Cover the dough with the cheese mixture.

4. *Bake:* Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the kunafeh is golden brown.

5. *Serve:* Serve the kunafeh hot with sugar syrup (optional).

*Note:* You can use different types of cheese, such as shredded cheese or creamy cheese. You can also add fruits or nuts to the cheese mixture.
